Giorgia Maria D'Allura, University of Catania (gdallura@unict.it)

She is Assistant Professor of Business Economics and Management at University of Catania (Italy), from which she received her Ph. D. in Management. In the course of her doctoral studies and during her Post- Doctoral Fellowship, she was Visiting Scholar at the Warrington College of Business and Administration at University of Florida, where she studied with Professor Amir Erez how individuals influence group performance and the power distribution with group dynamics. Her research focuses on how governance structures influences firm’s development pattern and strategy, especially focusing on family business environments and innovation. Recently her research interest focused on the role of family in the adoption of ethical codes. She also is interested in the technological innovation’s impact on market adoption and in the development of regional cluster, especially in high-tech industry.

 

Rania Labaki, EDHEC Business School (rania.labaki@edhec.edu)

She is Associate Professor of Management at EDHEC Business School and Director of the EDHEC Family Business Centre. She is also co-editor of the Entrepreneurship Research Journal and is actively involved with leading international organizations specialized in family business, including IFERA, FBN (France, Levant) and FFI. She holds a Ph.D. in Management Sciences from the University of Bordeaux and is recipient of several international awards recognizing her contributions to the family business field. Her current interests revolve around the emotional dynamics and the entrepreneurial and financial behaviour of family businesses with a focus on the next generation.
